Durability has to do with the brand not the color. Easy to clean has to do with what the surface is made of, not the color. I have a black delta bathroom faucet. It shows every drop of water. But it is easy to wipe down.
I had matte black Delta fixtures, Triton maybe, always looked fine and no issues. My current chrome fixtures always look like I spit toothpaste on them.
