Sorry Vaporvac, just now seeing this thread...

I was checking out Flamenco Rosita on Helpmefind.com...

https://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.40496.3&tab=1

Interesting rose but looks like it could grow to 10ft wide... lol..

Just so you know that Artist-FKA-Novice Zone 7B GA ....

But I can see why you love it Vaporvac....

I wish you the best Artist-FKA-Novice Zone 7B GA in deciding what you want... :-)

SO many roses to choose from....lol

I knew Rosita can get big but didn't realize it could be 10 ft wide.

If so, there would be plenty of space for one in background, further back, and the three EDI.s in the front. Or 3 EDI's and 2 Earth Songs.

I like the idea of Rosita making a lot of bloom since I rarely bring any because I don't have many cut roses. Those bloom but never quite enough for me to feel comfortable cutting away for the indoors. Just a few here and there.

But Rosita sounds like she could produce in the 100+ per flush, and that would be nice.

Maybe a bit wild for that spot? Not sure how the arching canes would look since the front yard is somewhat on the formal side.

Thank you all!

Echo, it looks like your first photo above is a beautiful penstemon (Brazos?). My best blooming penstemon, though not the showiest, is Red Rocks, but most all of mine rebloom well if you shear off spent stalks. Some like RR also reseed nicely, so extra free plants. I like the Mexicali series of penstemon a lot. And I think you should try Spanish Lavender. Is the butterfly on the Blue Mist flower? I think I've grown it a long time ago. Texas has fabulous butterflies. They are our weak spot out here in the hills. Bees of all kinds and hummers seem to make it here fine, though. Diane

Carol, Logee's says Phenomenal lavender is hardy to zone 4, and I trust them. But I understand about lack of space, and I have to grow all my lavenders near the slope where space is available. So then I have to go back there to see my precious lavender. If I took my glasses off in the garden, I'd roll down the slope for sure. You should try multifocal lenses, if you can, because they allow you to see up close fairly well without removing your glasses, Plus, high index plastic lenses with non reflective coating protect your eyes as well as sunglasses against UV. Good luck with the roses and may the sun shine long and bright on them. They want to bloom, for sure. Diane

They look perfect, Jim, and they're going to love those 80s. Our weather is nice, but not as hot. I loved your Rozanne. Mine are fine, but spread out all over the place. They grow in flower beds, though. Some are less spready than others. Nanadoll

I was trying to find some pics with bumbles on the coneflowers. Oh, well. Still, you get a glimpse of my shoe, so there's that.

Just a heads up that they've added some own-root, one-gallon non-exclusives to their website for $45. You have to click on each variety to see if it's available as an own-root.

The first bloom on my J'Adore rose opened, and I'm a bit concerned it's not the correct variety, especially given all the talk about their Arizona grower not labeling all the plants. It's pink on the outside with a creamy yellow center, and it looks more to me like the Paradise Beach rose they offered. I'm hesitant to contact GRF since it's the first bloom on a young plant. Can anyone else who is growing J'Adore speak to whether this bloom looks right? The pictures of J'Adore all show pink-centered blooms with white around the edges.
