A hummingbird feeder won’t attract rodents. I wouldn’t have a seed feeder that close to my house.
Why should the bird feeder not be so close to the house?
I don’t have a feeder near the house because I’m afraid of attracting rodents.
2700 or 3000 kelvin aren’t harsh. I use bulbs that have 4 settings and switch between the Kelvin I mentioned. I switch all when I do change. Bedrooms all have 2700. No blue.
Safe ??? What is your concern ? It is cool to the touch and the light itself is SAFE I guess I do not like any light left on in bedrooms so not an issue there . I use LED 4000K everywere in my house a few fixtures are on dimmers but I love well lit spaces and do not like a yellow glow from my lighting so choose 4000k that mimics bright daylight when you get into 2700K the yellow glow changes colors at night just like the old incandescents did.
If you can remove the two small glass cabinets by the window that would open it up and not look so crowded.
While you are refreshing the facade refresh the shrubbery too. The hedge is hiding the pretty porch and the really tall shrubs have out grown their space detracting from your home.
When determining needed storage, add about 10% more than “exact.” Example, when I figured mine, pressure cookers and air fryers were barely used.
C Kasp - marble is relatively soft too. Sink in island at the very edge not in the middle - my wife nixed ours in the design stage - sure wish I had it for when we both cook which is much more often now - she has a large presence i am in HER way most of the time. I hid my generous pantry in the front hall.
One set of deep ones (for baking supplies) open into the kitchen too.
What are the trends for bathrooms for 2024?
If it helps, it took a lot of samples to find what both of us wanted. My husband was concerned about “projection”, which is how far it sits on the wood. He has larger hands so I bought samples to make sure he liked how they felt. Keep in mind the hands of the people that live in the house.
Maybe a rug in sisal or jute with blue to not compete with your lovely rug.
I’d use a free standing mirror on the vanity.
I know that’d work as I have that now. However I can’t see myself when I dry my hair. ☹️
Want great?
You are attempting to compensate for a too small mirror.
Trade the 30" mirror for a 42" diameter
Get a smaller less bulky lamp
Use the vase with branches, let some branch show in the mirror
Add a smaller tray or dish for keys
Then? S.T.O.P : )
I’d try to just have the table & chairs, unless I’m misunderstanding the size of the room. They’re quite nice & would be the “stars “ & have breathing room— the dining area would be more relaxed & inviting .
Noodle on where the credenza might work. I’m not quick to give up good wood furniture, especially storage pieces. But they don’t always have to be in the “ correct” room. Is there some other furniture item that’s not as nice or useful that you’d be willing to remove or relocate to make room?
We have moved in. We just have no furniture yet!!
My husband’s health took a dive, swivels would be disastrous, as would arms. There are so many beautiful stools out there, so do consider physical abilities of guests.
I know rhis area. The school district is just okay
I just bought some shorter kitchen curtains with this tab top from Wayfair so I did a search there using "tab top curtains" and came up with a selection with these tops that I like a lot. Here is the link to one of them: https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/august-grove-okeelanta-washed-casual-solid-semi-sheer-tab-top-single-curtain-panel-w002012881.html?piid=986726313%252C986726318&experiencetype=2&selectedvertical=7
And here are all the results: https://www.wayfair.com/keyword.php?keyword=tab+top+curtains&class_id=&experiencetype=2&selectedvertical=7
Take a look at the Half Price Drapes website. Huge variety and many are washable.
Bigger window.
Consider backlighting the stained glass and hang it above the window. Then you get your view and the glass.
