Good afternoon CJ it's overcast and windy hope you're having a good day
Waiting for my new refrig is supposed to come this afternoon Yahoo tomorrow I get to stock it the sun is mostly sunny today and hope you're having a good day
Another option.
I’m excited about the last one. Ordered a sample size, but won’t be here for a week and a half (around the same time that the other sample is supposed to come). Houzz has this one in a 10x12 for a great price and I hope the price stays!
I like the last one too
Hi Lola and all my friends!
Lola, these posters were an absurd price if you ask me haha. The frames I got at Michaels 1/2 off. I think that was still kind of pricey and they aren't even the type of frame I wanted. These are floating frames, but my art floats edge to edge lol
I'm ready to hang them, here arepics of my mockup with paper. I am using all 3 bc I want to, and going to hang a towel bar centered under them. I need a long towel bar if anyone can help shop for that.
The in laws are coming, again, in 2 weeks so I want to get them hung and the new vanity light ordered and installed.
Does this look like a good spot? They are approx centered between the shower and the door stop near baseboard. So when you are in there with the door closed there is a little more wall space in the corner behind the door. But then you get no view of the right print from outside the bath.
I like it like this but should I center it on the wall? It's really on visible from the toilet view haha
Standing as far against the opposite wall as possible from toilet:
from vanity corner
View from inside shower
from outside the bath
I use hooks in my bathroom and don't have any issues.
We don't have overnight guests very often, so I feel okay going with whatever looks best :)
I ordered this light that @Julie Zygmontowicz showed up above, but I got the 32" instead of 23". My current light is 24 and looks so puny, but hopefully this one isn't too big. It's from Home Depot so easily returned.
I tried to get a better picture (and one with the floral pattern) but got caught up in the festivities. The wedding that my sister and I made the lighted candles was yesterday. It took place in an old antebellum New Orleans house with a fantastic courtyard on the inside. The candles were placed mostly in the house, but eventually made their way outside as it got darker. Thank you for your help with your directions and ideas.
I love this tree! I see it from my window. I don’t have the best vantage point but i just ignore the utility lines and tree trunk. In the fall, It’s a beautiful, bright shade of orange.
Yep, agree that's a really good plan, lia. Sometimes I have to push myself to attend something but I'm always glad afterwards that I did it.
Here's something cute spotted online in a post by "Dull Men's Club" for all the feline friendly folks out there...
"Just spent a half an hour looking everywhere in my house for my cat. I thought she snuck out on me but no, she sat there the whole time and watched me look for her. Oh my gosh, they can be a pain in the butt, but gotta love them".
happy, are you talking about a different rebate other than the one with the electric company? If so, read the terms of it yourself. You said you were given incorrect information about the delivery date so this could be incorrect as well.
If you are talking about the electric company, like tiffany said, that is a separate thing. But again, as she said, it says the unit must be plugged in and working and I thought yours wasn't.
Happy look at the link I included. You will see you can turn your old appliance over the the utility and they will give you the rebate directly once they pick it up at your house.
So I understand you called the utility co and they are picking up your frig. and you will get the rebate from them.
If you have the space, a simple pedestal table and comfortable chairs would work very well.
What about a gorgeous chandelier like you see here in a recent dining room design we did for a client?
First decision is, if island stools were less bulky, were moved to the other end of counter (limit to number the space can accommodate), and using a banquette (tape out a bench width + rectangle table + the space needed between the two).
Add a strip of tape on floor where that ends, move the stools and test for a few days.
Next decision, do you think you will appreciate a table…more comfortable, practical and functional and will improve the dynamics/you also still have stools. Don’t buy stools or decor until you have a plan and a “look“ style wise!
Decide what would be the most practical use of the space for you and your family and think the big picture…semi flush lighting, window treatments that match and are practical and light, art, and be sure choices connect to the adjoining spaces color and style wise.
Regarding functionality, what is adjoining area like? What’s the best use of this space…den/tv, homework/home office, music room, play area, etc.
I thought dark velvet going on smaller chair, not just pillows. Oh well. There are ways tv can swivel and sitting in recliner infinately more comfortable than laying on couch. You will see. Hoping you dont have to get matching chairs.
Thank you, Flo, Julie, and Lola for your kind and thoughtful suggestions. You've helped me to start getting the other plan out of my head. You and a morning nap. I woke too early.
I agree that if I buy two different chairs, the lower back swivel would be on the left and would block less of the window that gives me the better view of the pond. The higher back chair would definitely go on the right, and I really need to buy at least one. This really does seem like the solution.
I don't know why the idea of a different chair on each side of the fireplace bothers me so much. I've tried finding images. None so far.
Lola, I've been trying to think of how to get more charcoal in the room. I think at least one charcoal velvet chair is key to get this look. I'm trying to see it without the charcoal drapes...
Main color of the living area could be as shown here. Light camel.
Warm color of secretary could be 1) warm wood console on the tv wall, or 2) cognac leather:on a chair or ottoman.
Charcoal on chair. The chair Sabrina has recommended as their most popular is the Sally. I've sat in it, and it is very comfortable. No problem with arms. I think it--or something similarly rounded--would be pretty in charcoal velvet.
Sally swivel measurements: W33, D31, H33
Stephanie swivel measurements: W3O, D4O, H39
Looking online, it appears I was misinformed. I'm not seeing Stephanie swivel recliner, but I am seeing Stephanie recliner. I'll ask Sabrina. I'd have to go back to the DM area store to see, try it. I only sat in the swivel version when I was there. Didn't know about other option(s).
Hmm you have had dark chairs for a long time..I would not pick a charcoal for one of the chairs..keep them lighter..maybe a very light gray velvet stead of charcoal if wanting gray in the room..and of course I would consider just different shades of warm neutrals all around…chairs and sofa…..add congnac leather and darker gray pillows..it will give you the depth and cozy look….love my new charcoal gray drapes from twopages..they are amazing so easy to hang! that would really add that warm and dramatic feel and be cohesive with your island too if you keep it gray…just thinking things through🤔 both chairs could have a different style but same fabric or same color but different texture.….but really no rules..again that more collected feeling overall.
