Lighter cream on the living room walls to meet with the kitchen colour. Crown molding in the living room. I admire the lack of curtains in the room because to me, curtains are just view blockers and dust catchers, although they are a way to add colours to a room. Maybe a more decorative molding around the windows to make up for the lack of curtains. You also need a really nice piece of art over the fireplace--I think that would make a night and day difference in there. The wreath should be somewhere else. Finally, I would move or paint white the book case near the TV. I think you have too many different woods in the room that kind of detracts from the cohesiveness, especially when those two, TV console and bookcase, are close together it's noticeable.
