We put polished Taq in my Dad’s house. We love it, but I was never able to see a leathered slab to compare.

At my house, I have leathered antique brown (it’s black). The leathering really changes the feel of the stone. It’s almost like it’s soft to the touch. Try to see a slab and if you can, get a sample of both polished and leathered and bring them home so you can look at then horizontal. (They are standing up at the stone yard and you need to look at them horizontal)

At night when it’s light inside but dark outside, different shiny patterns appear on my counters that are so eye-catching in a good way. Not sure if that would occur with Taq or not.
