Maybe donate it to the Smithsonian?
Oh darn, too bad they weren't chocolate gram crax.
By stale I mean they look kind of dry and shriveled. Im sure some are broken but most seem intact. In fact, I think they are petrified. Maybe enough whipped cream would soften them up and noone will know the difference.
Absolutely. I make it for Thanksgiving . The marshmallows get toasted like over a fire.
Thank you, thank you all.
Just sat down at my computer. Was out all day and posted originally from my phone. Somehow it cut off half my post.
What I was trying to say was I told the host that I have never made a sweet potato casserole but looked up recipes on my phone and it had chopped pecans and brown sugar as a topping. She replied that we are having desserts and she felt that would be too much sugar. So, I said, 'okay I'll leave off the sugar topping'. She said,' just make it with mini marshmallows on top'. I said, 'marshmallows??' 'Yes, she said, 'its delicious that way'. I answered, 'okay.... '
I then called my niece who is also bringing food and she laughed. Said, put marshmallows on one side and the pecans on the other side.
I went to Whole Foods and bought a bunch of sweet potatoes. Totally forgot the marshmallows so will run to Publix tomorrow.
Oh, she also asked me to make deviled eggs. I bought eggs. At least I know how to make them.
Sooo, now I want to read the recipes you all posted. Haven't had a chance.
Thank you all again!!
Jane
Olychick totally agree. I plan to just put marshmallows on one half.
Arcy, I agree. I bought a bunch of beautiful sweet potatoes today.
Eld, I would feel better if I had made it before. I've never even ate it in my 75 yrs!
Kathsgrdn, agree. That's the recipe I found and will put it on half of the dish.
Woodrose, same with me. My mouth dropped when she said that.
Chloe, that sounds good. Cream cheese? The recipe I found was a Ina Gartner one. Calls for heavy cream. Not sure about that.
Raee, that recipe sound more like my speed....
Judi, chipotles!!
That's it, going to bed, exhausted. I'll finish reading tomorrow.
Thanks, all
Jane
I feel very blessed by the four cute dresses I bought at Marshalls last night for $120
Thanks, everyone. Turns out the pencil trim is thinner than I thought and is actually called pencil/bullnose. It should be a nice finish that will match the tile. Decision made!
Beautiful view!
I would get a patterned rug with some color. Nothing too bold.
I'm not a fan of your throw pillows. I like pillows to relate to something. Not just pops of color.
If you have to keep the pillows, choose a rug with those colors.
I would definitely do some art.
If you want to keep a fireplace, get a new, linear modern electric one and put it on the current sofa wall with the tv above it. The sofa will go on the opposite wall, and you may be able to keep the love seat or fit 2 chairs since traffic will now stay to the left.
Here's a visual of my suggestions which also shows some of other suggestions you received above...
- Narrow wall TV unit
- End tables and lamps
- Floor lamp
- Large canvas above sofa
- Side curtains
- Mantel decor
While you can get ideas, your Taj to me seems more gray/ taupe than the usual ivory/light beige.
When the counter is in you can get a better idea, especially since your cabinets will be a taupe.
Just a thought. Even when viewing a large sample of a paint color, it will still appear different on a much larger scale on your cabinets. Light will also play a factor.
With a taupe cabinet and taupe Taj, you might want to head in a creamy white direction.
Have you seen those in person? I really dislike the chalky tactile feel of those tiles! Make sure you see a grouted sample board if possible.
Zellige and Taj Mahal
People might be tired of me saying this… but be sure to check the variation level (V1 - V4) when picking out tile. I don’t trust marketing photos and you often can’t tell from just one or two sample tiles. If you want a lot of variation that’s great, but if you’re looking for a quiet backsplash (for example to let the countertops be the star) you’ll want to make sure your tile is a V1 or V2.
I made this mistake not once but twice. 😬

Update for March: I'm 5 months in to Rogaine for Women and I have to say, I literally can't remember when my hair felt as full as it does now. I no longer have to shut the sun roof or wear a hat because I can't feel the sun on my scalp any more.
The vegans are the son of a cousin with whom I'm not in direct contact so I have no idea yet even if they're coming...if he's bringing a GF or not...and if they're bringing anything. I'm assuming they are coming...I do buffet style anyway so it's not a big deal.
Thank you for sharing the article, I love the Times real estate section. I let the subscription lapse and the real estate might be the only thing I really miss.
LOVE the Pennsylvania house, LOVE the Maine condo - could happily live in either. Well, except for the fact that the older I get, the more I despise cold winters. :-)
Not exactly back as social events are still being canceled if someone has Covid.
Most things did not effect me. I do miss my WW studio that closed during Covid and did not reopen.
I still had my part time job and work was sent to us. We stayed in our Florida home and were able to do an entire house renovation during that time!
My experience during Covid was manageable.
I did like how doctor’s handled appointments one at a time and didn’t overbook.
In the area I am, all OBGYN and childbirth care centers closed down with only one place to give birth while before there had been half a dozen. Overfilled and overworked doctors and nurses. It was a mess. Everything was a mess during covid.
Hey ronminsouthga, remember these lies? A day didn't go by without him lying about it.

Giacomo, our Kousa Dogwood planted in honor of the 2005 Kentucky Derby winner. It was so densely covered with blossoms that I was afraid branches might break.
Honey Locust tree in my walled garden.
I’ve posted this Moreton Bay Fig before. It’s in a little park nearby. 90’ tall…110’ branch spread…30’ wide trunk…1,200 sq. ft. of exposed roots.
