You are such an adventuress for projects! if you try to save the outer rim of the brim to reattach, won’t that circumference be larger than the base of the hat? what if you trim the brim and then bind with ribbon or something you find at a craft or upholstery store—- hot glue this on?

Kitschykitch & Kswl,

thank you for thinking of me . things are getting a bit better every day. there are times i can go a few days and manage quite well and then for no reason I go to pieces.

but that said i do see more light at the end of the tunnel.

i realize now that i still have a daughter and grand daughter that need me so I am working hard on trying to stay strong for them and i guess myself.

i am lucky to have them and am trying to be positive and count my blessings.

i know my DH would have wanted that.

I really shouldn’t advise as my fashion orientation is west of California. However, while I agree with the majority that the four buttoned pockets on the blue jacket might be too much, I’m thinking wouldn't that jacket be cute paired with a trim t-shirt style top and a pair of jeans? Sort of dressing up the jeans in a fun way. Keep them both. I thought of this after reading your jeans post.

I love your fashion threads (pun intended). You always look great and I learn so much from everyone who posts.

ETA: I also have closet envy!

The teachers at my school (myself included) were so excited to share the eclipse with our students and then this week, we received strict orders to keep all students indoors with the blinds drawn all afternoon. I'm all for safety, but this just seems overkill to me. They sent us links, so we can watch it live onscreen. Sheesh. When I was young, we had a full eclipse here and my mom pulled us out of school and took us cross country skiing so we could experience it out of the city. Even thought it's only partial here, I'm hoping some parents take this route.

I would swear I posted on this last night, but don’t see it. I don’t think I used a trigger word, I was just saying ours came last night.

It’s supposed to start at 12:20 here. I‘m getting excited! We do have some cloud cover, but the eclipse is still going to be fun to watch. :)

ETA: It might be my imagination, but the light outside seems a bit different right now.

Strange. I'd rather look at dirty dishes. The screen feels very invasive and encroaching.
