Terilyn, the only way to insure you do not get Covid-19 is to stay TOTALLY isolated ALL the time. Any time you let your guard down, you can get infected. These non-medical masks everyone are wearing will do NOTHING to keep yourself from picking it up. Get your hands on N95 masks if you are immunocompromised.

What loonlake says doesn't necessarily "insure" anything but her advice and using common sense can make exposure much less likely.
I'm glad for anyone who has a lapse but with no negative consequences.
