Well, the two certainly do not look the same. I would be questioning how they got that look with that material and find out why they sold you something that they apparently can't deliver.

It doesn't really matter how many people like yours better than the one you were trying to replicate, the fact is that the same builder installed both and they were supposed to be the same look and feel and they are not the same look and feel. I doubt that they are actually the same material.

One looks almost like a slab and the other looks like random tiles. Why didn't they show you what to expect? The Daltile website has a virtual viewer. I could ask why you didn't look up the tile on the website and do the "See in Room" option, especially after the first failed attempt, but I get it, you trusted them. (I have learned to have very little blind trust when it comes to design.)

When the first attempt failed and you were unhappy, they really should have been up front and told you that you can't get what you are looking for with that material and given you the opportunity to look at alternatives and select something different.

Hi @Rachel - just built a house with the Thunder White granite countertops and have noticed immediately how porous it is with water and oil spills. So we are treating it very gingerly when cooking etc. until we can get it properly sealed. Appreciate your input on the Tenax Proseal and so I'm looking to buy this. Has it held up well for you since your last mention of this which I assume was in 2021? Were you able to purchase this locally or just online? Thank you.

@Mike K. sorry this is so late, but just saw this. I purchased the ProSeal online and it continues to work well. I've been resealing every 6-12 months.
