I think it looks great! Personally I like looking out the window and getting sunshine while I work, so I would swap the dresser and the desk, but I think this current layout works well too.

If you ignore the architectural separation of the two spaces, you can expand the living area. Utilize the long wall across from the fireplace for your TV. It will balance your room and you will be able to get a larger TV.
Consider bookcases on the wall across from the entry and adding a game table and vintage bar cabinet.
