I really like the small table next to the stairs. It creates a charming vignette which you would see when you first come in the door. What about that great mirror that you have next to the door - would it work over the bench? It seems when people first come in the door, they wouldn't really see what is immediately next to it. The other mirror looks too modern to me.

Maybe dh wants the cabinets in the garage for tools! I still like the small demilune next to the stairs. And I do think the "HOME" sign is kind of charming too - Even though as a rule, I typically don't like sayings on walls. The script in yours is artistic. The rectangular mirror and pictures look perfect! Good work, aj.

The small table under Home will be a catch-all and serves no purpose really. Although if you like it there in some pictures it look centered and then it's off to the side centered is better but what if you just do a nice planter box stle table with lush plants in it, black in color to tie in the bench. keep large mirror with decoractive hooks on either side with a fedora hat or something fun hanging on it.

I think it's a beautiful foyer , but the opening upstairs towards the left ...and looking into that room with the dark sofas ..bothers me . I would put a door there and paint it all white ! Elegant !

You could try two seating areas. One, a love seat facing the the fireplace with two chairs, one on either side of the fireplace for a conversation area, or three comfy chairs. Keep it small and cozy with floor lamps for reading. The second area, facing the TV - a couch and some chairs, a coffee table or ottoman. Instead of console for TV - a wall unit would fill the space and balance out the size of the fireplace. You could try a console table behind the couch with inviting accessories. I would suggest two area rugs, one for each area. You have a wonderful space to work with!

I'll try it! I never thought of moving the TV off-center of the room.

I was under the impression that you liked the Farinelli house above. I don't think the brown rug works in the dining room. I think the plain drapes are better in the LR or the ones you like at Walmart For a touch of blue in the LR, you can just change out the pillows on your chairs with a darker blue. Keep working on your idea books!!

Hi. Remove the white shelves and other things in that corner of the room. Cover the seats of your dining chairs with a light color that looks good with your dishes. Could be a pale blue or green or a red print - whatever is fresh to you & works with your dises. Then get curtains to go with the chair seats. Probably a cream color would be good if you don't want a color.

Why the hard sell on art Cassie? Why don't you show some examples? The art from Etsy (above) looked terrific.

Our 3 piece "Grand Piano Ensemble", would look absolutely GORGEOUS on the empty wall of the first picture, or even above your credenza. I would place a set of the white one on empty wall, or a mahogany set above the credenza. Beautiful home and great taste by the way!
