Diane, I'm torn about ordering Celestine. The main rose I wanted for spring was Ascot. I can't remember Palatine ever not having it, but they don't. I'd like to keep my order small and from just one vendor, so Regan or Edmunds might get my '22 order. My computer is still acting up. My son is a tech expert and keeps CBS network's computer system running smoothly, and he said my computer is so old, there are no support systems available to fix it. I hope there are some new laptops available. Bet there are thousands sitting in cargo ships off shore. Are you going to order Celestine? Her ruffly petals remind me of Wild Blue Yonder.
I wouldn't dream of killing you. I have to ask my friend how old I am every year. I seriously don't do numbers. They don't stick with me. I'll be 78 in the spring and figure that I am the Grand Dame - a rose I cannot grow - of the forum. You are right, it is a shocking story. It shocks even me. How in the world did I get this old?
Trish, getting that many plants in the ground in so short a time sounds impossible. You work fast.
Oh, dear, I just read the sad news of your niece's husband's passing. So terribly sad, whether expected or sudden. From your description of his personality, he was most likely prepared and accepted it with grace. It hits hard to see younger people die. It's not the natural order.
Still chuckling over composting……. Loving Carol’s new ”Seasonal Thread!” Love Dianes, comments! Snow is coming down here is big flakes today…. I guess a bianket for my roses finally! See you on the new thread!
