About Us

Kevin Michael Interiors was founded as a full service interior design firm with the purpose of designing uniquely crafted spaces, tailored specifically around how you use them. Kevin Michael, Principal Designer, was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. After attending the Art Institute, Kevin Michael moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he became the creative director for a home furnishings company. After relocating to the design Mecca of New York City, he spent time working with an industry leader in Kitchen, Bath and Lighting design. There, he kept up with the latest products, techniques and design trends. With inspiration around every corner, he developed a passion for chic, urban living blended with the functionality necessary for any lifestyle. Now back in North Carolina, Kevin Michael continues to explore his passion for creating thoughtful spaces and stylized interiors. Start-to-finish design, remodel, space planning & staging services are available to clients in North Carolina, Florida & New York. Other locations may be accommodated by request.

Kevin and his team are PHENOMENAL! Their attention to detail was fantastic, and after sending them a lot of pictures of what I liked for a bathroom remodel, they understood my taste and visualized what I wish I could on my own. I was nervous at first as many reviews showcased gigantic remodels, but they understood my scope and budget and worked with it without pressuring me to give more money. I would use them again and highly recommend!

I used Kevin Michael Interiors for my recent kitchen renovation, new floors & lighting throughout my family’s lake home, as well as a new sunroom addition. To say I’m thoroughly impressed would not do him justice. Kevin listened to what we needed out of these rooms and executed it all flawlessly. Wonderful eye for detail, prompt and pleasant service, not to mention he made it so much fun - you can’t go wrong with this guy!

AMAZING. Kevin was involved in our entire design process for a new layout for the kitchen. His design was so beautiful that we went ahead and had him design the wet bar for the study and our bathroom vanities. I am amazed at how much detail that he puts into every bit of his designs. He is wonderful to work with. Very professional and always available whenever I had questions. He was a huge help in picking out tile and flooring. With all of the possibilities that are available, I needed someone to step in and narrow the choices down and to guide me in in making selections. He got to know me and listened to my likes and dislikes, and steered me toward options that would match my style and the style of my home! We will definitely be using him more in the upcoming weeks to help pick out color pallets and finish our remodel.

I have a 1920's craftsman home with beautiful woodwork. He updated my kitchen, bathroom and added an en suite to the master. Kevin has a keen idea for detail and it is definitely magical to see your visions come alive.
