I do envy you you own such beauty mine did not do too good this year the 3 that I had as of last year died on me this year they were variegated brugies(snif snif) one of my versicolor died and also a white one, this year has been terrible for my plants however I have managed to keep alive my hibiscus except for 3 but hope to have a better year next year Marcie

I have a fern which I feel must be the kind you inquire about. My friend, who gave it to me several years ago when it was about to die, called it an alligator birdnest fern. Today I was checking to try to identify it more exactly, and your post came up. Is this what you refer to? and it seems to me that it does multiply by clumping, because I am about to have a local nurseryman separate and repot it for me. I do not want to chance losing it now. Actually, the long fronds are greater than 2 feet long. And while we are on the subject, I found a different style birdnest fern at the nursery I spoke of, sort of a clubfoot version, different from my other wavy edged and straight edged bird nest ferns. I am quite fond of these plants, and give them a place of respect in the limited shade of my garden. Hope this helps.

well,I love every one of them.They are all gorgeous,but,looking at your mini climber,I may have to change my plans of where I want to plant mine.I have it in a small pot right now as just got it the end of January.The looks of them canes don't much look like a mini.Guess they get a lot bigger then I thought it would.Its gorgeous tho,and I am happy I have it,just have to figure wheres my best place to put it. Thank you everyone. Carol, some of my roses looks really bad because of blackspot, I'm seriously considering spraying them this weekend, the big three are GC, Heirloom and Sharifa. Laurie, that columbine was already there when we moved in, I don't know where the previous owners bought it from. I'm glad I kept it, it's so pretty. I've never seen that green lizard before yesterday, my cat drove them up the wall lol. I don't know if lizards are territorial but there seems to be one in every rose bed.
