Lobelia cardinalis

Lobelia cardinalis is an easy-to-grow native that attracts both butterflies and hummingbirds. It reaches 48 in. in height, and the bright red flowers appear in mid-to-late summer. It's easily propagated by the copious amounts of dustlike seed set in late autumn.

This month's contest winner will receive three Lobelia cardinalis supplied by Sunshine Farm & Gardens.
