 o The Prize!

Spigelia marilandica

Spigelia marilandica is an easy to grow native plant that does well just about anywhere in the garden. It has supple, dark green foliage that persists throughout the growing season. The flowers are bright red trumpets with brilliant yellow throats, which gradually open in succession from the bottom of the flower stem to the top. Hummingbirds love this plant and it will self-seed into a nice little colony on its own.

This month's contest winner will receive three plants of Spigelia marilandica supplied by Sunshine Farm & Gardens.
