Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens'

Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' is a choice groundcover with near-black, purple foliage. Ophiopogon is similar the closely-related, grass-like Lirope but somewhat more compact, reaching just 8-10 in (20-25 cm). It does well in sun or shade, is fairly hardy and is a moderate spreader.
