The Prize!
Oxalis violaceae
Oxalis violaceae isn't one of those horroble weedy invasive Oxalis plants that most people mistakingly think are species of clover. Quite to the contrary, I wish it were a little more aggressive. From large clover like
foliage emerge copius amounts of medium pink blooms--ALL summer long.
It grows well in full shade to part sun. They seem to have no
preference as far as soil type goes, but perform much better in a rich
mulched soil with lots of organic matter. A pure white selection has been
made and will be introduced to the gardening public in spring 2000.
This month's contest winner will receive three
Oxalis violaceae
supplied by Sunshine Farm & Gardens.
