2012..the end of September...my tomato plants are no longer in the ground..leaves all gone..(except for 2 that I planted in a flower bed because there was no room anywhere else, and surprised the are still looking good. (Pink Ping Pong)...all other tomatoes are in side and being eaten, frozen or cooked! The fall chill is setting in..and a pair of socks for my chilly feet..ugh..don't look forward to cold air..
But this will be a good season coming..family healthy and expecting a grandchild to be born in two weeks. The first one from our son and his lady will be one year old and already enjoys visiting and playing with the earth in the garden!! New life, New day..will remember to post here more often. Close to the Earth and garden when reading posts from warmer climes...
Rewriting this again, Its almost May..snow yesterday. Moved my tomato plants to a cooler place, as they were getting too tall...thanks to the people on the tomato forum for so much help. Started a new garden for the tomatos due to a black walnut tree that was too close and causing problems. Lasanga gardening...new to me..found my Ruth Stout book from 27 years ago..that was my first garden. have not had areally country garden since then..we bought this property a few years ago. (have photographed every flowering plant so I can learn about them). We are up here five days a week, and in the city (toronto)the restof the time.
I really love working in the garden..dirt under my fingerails, knees sore..I have started a lot of plants from seed this year, flowring plants. other than the tomato i guess the veggies will start outside.. i will tryto keep this upto date..November..have not thought about gardening..
other than moving leaves around from here to there..2005 February..snow and ice dreaming of tomato plants..too early..will re-write this when I start seeds again in late March..early April?? Plan on doing a few eary and setting them out in my PVC covered portable greenhouse..(that is in my Garden). ALL OF THAT WAS LAST YEAR...now SPRING 2005..TOMATO seedlings under lights..waiting;;;
WELL ITS 2007...cold very cold..snowhigher than ever...thinking about tomato plants again..so soon will begin..2006 had a few difficulties with my plants...many no shows. odd...but I do not give up..lots of new heirlooms last year and will try most again. A couple of weeks on Floridas Gulf Coast warmed the bones..now reality..
