I am interested in how flowers and gardening affect people, in flower customs,and in traditions of flower giving, growing and wearing.

Having moved from Kentucky to Texas, I miss many of the beautiful flowers that grew well back in my home state but am learning to appreciate the plants of this region.

My favorite flowers are hollyhocks, though I continually have trouble with rust.
