My partner and I live in the Black Hills at an elevation of about 5200 feet. It's an ongoing adventure and challenge figuring out how to garden in this short season where it snows in May and reaches 105 degrees in the summer. I am an artist/painter drwing from the rich diversity of form and landscape of this area and gardening alpines as a way to 'travel' to other landscapes.
