I'm currently involved in an intentional community, pseudo-urban, ecovillage project just outside of Denver (it takes 90 minutes on a BEAUTIFUL bike ride from downtown Denver to the land) .
The goal is to develop an ecovillage through land trust that will revolve around the practical and theoretical applications of permaculture. We want to create a non-sexist, non-racist, non-homophobic community where you can walk around naked if you feel like it.

On the horizon is the fulfillment of the desires to organize and open a workers food cooperative sustained by the permacultivated land and other items not directly available through the land and bioregion (ie. fair trade bananas, but
hopefully in the future operating through a gift economy). Some talk has been made of opening a capoeira studio owned and operated by the students on a cooperative level. There is also a desire to open and operate a biodiesel workers cooperative (partially sustained by the thousands of diesel trucks that zoom past on N-85 daily). The first project we want to get going is a community gardens to support the building of socialrelations and the betterment of the economic situation for the low-income community that surrounds us. We will start soon in asking and feeling for the interest of such a project within the community.

Currently, there is a barn and an old house on which we are using for the base of our current operations. We will be installing a greywater systemsoon and will continuously be adding energy saving applications as we can afford them and as our knowledge embraces them.

Please feel free to email us at hendersonfarms@riseup.net for more information.
