I garden on 1/4 acre suburban lot if southern Ontario in a suburb of Toronto, about a block north of the lake. My garden is shaded by mature White pines and Green Ash and a ~15 year old red oak I have developed my backyard as a shady, woodland garden.

I am profoundly deaf due to a rare neurological problem tha struck in my late 30s (I am 46 now...) because of severe balance problems, I use a walker for mobility.
