Let's see: I am a financial planner, CPA, Gettysburg Licensed Battlefield Guide, mother of two grown sons, and an avid gardener. In the summer I spend every other weedend in Gettysburg, which is 225 miles from my house, so the plants are usually just a little neglected.

I garden in a very small urban yard behind my 1910 Craftsman cottage in Pittsburgh PA. I have mixed borders centering around a small pond. Lots of antique and English roses. I choose plants by scent! I am steadily eliminating the lawn.

The dog digs where she pleases. The household is run entirely for her convenience. Lord knows, I NEED to indulge SOMEbody!
