Hello, my name is Wolfboy, and I am a cactaholic. (The mere fact that I am signing up for this web site is proof in itself.) I was bitten at an early age, but only recently has my hobby blossomed into a passion. I have about 180 species of cacti. Many are in the ground, many in a home-made structure that doubles as a greenhouse in the winter and a shade house in the summer. (Yes, even cacti can get too much sun if living in the desert Southwest.) I have been known to dabble in an occasional succulent. Lately, I have been interested in epiphytic cacti. We will see how they weather our hellish summers. I also garden. Except for the heat of the summer, I have a garden year round. It is certainly a challenge, especially after growing up in the Midwest. My wife puts up with my little obsession and jokes that if my greenhouse had a cot and plumbing she would rarely see me. Other interests include hiking, backpacking, working out at the gym, piano, and mud wrestling. Got to go. my wife is beckoning me to come in form the garden. Later.
