My name is Willow and my husband is lovingly known as Tygr. We recently bought 40 acres in the Peach Springs, AZ area. We are planning on putting up hoop houses on a couple of acres so we can garden year round and hope to sell our produce at farmer's markets. We will have a sustainable living farm off the grid. We have gardened all our lives and I was raised on a huge farm in Indiana. You might say I like playing in dirt :)
We plan to do everything on the farm naturally. We plan to raise chickens, rabbits, sheep, and goats. We will be using a closed water system and solar/wind energy for our power. We have been living in the city of Tucson and the weather is just too hot for growing much of anything. Land is also much cheaper up north and we hear we'll even see snow. We actually were caught in a short blizzard the day we went to find the land. So we are looking forward to the change. I hope that being a part of this group will help us in our venture and maybe we'll be able to offer ideas as we proceed with building and planting our roots in Peach Springs.
