I am a beginner gardener, trying to remain all organic! My soil is pure sand, and we have zillions of bugs and a whole lotta heat and humidity. I am out in the country, so we have CRITTERS - deer, raccoons, squirrels, moles, rabbits, many varieties of birds, lizards, feral cats, and zillions of armadillos.
