My name is Judith and I live in the Richmond, VA area. While I have had fresh water aquariums since I was a child (only a few years ago) and have been gardening for many years, I am new to ponds and water gardening.

After many years of wanting a pond, I put in a small preformed pond in a flower bed in the spring of 2003 and absolutely love it. It gives me so much pleasure to work with it. While the fish are nice (Shubunkin, Sarassa), I simply love the water gardening aspects. So much so, that I purchased large urns for more plants and have now laid plans for a new larger in ground pond. I have also added tadpoles to all the containers as well as the current pond.

In the works is also a carnivorous plant bog garden - and maybe a few other bog plants thrown in.

I am now hooked and looking forward to including more water features all around my house in the future!
