I originally got hooked on orchids back in the Philippines where you could just throw a pseudobulb anywhere and it would thrive.

I now live in Riverside CA where the growing conditions are quite challenging. Very hot summers and very cool, dry winters.

03/30/2007 I recently completed a 12x16 Rion Greenhouse. Hopefully, the more stable environment inside the greenhouse will provide better results with my orchids.

06/07/2007 The Rion GH is working out nicely. I have to tweak the fans and mister settings every now and then to compensate for the weather but the orchids are responding very well. I have now even attempted to sprout some tropical seeds and see how far I get to take them.
