My DH & I live in Seward, Alaska, a small coastal town on the Kenai Peninsula in Southcentral Alaska. We live in a log house and garden during our short growing season from June 1st til mid September. Our season is short, and the temperatures remain moderate here. The soil remails cool most of the season, which can be an advantage in some circumstances, and a problem in others. We also lack top soil here, so for both soil temp and availability reasons, we do a lot of container gardening. I'm interested in sharing information with other cool weather gardeners, since it is quite different than most lower 48 experiences.

I live in: United States

My zone is: z3 AK
