My wife and I live on an 80 acre farm in west centeral Wisconsin. We have three children, all grown (or groan), and three wonderful grandchildren.

I am recently retired from the building services division of our area school district, and hope to re-activate the farming interests by graseing cattle and some poultry.

I have raised and shown,rabbits,poultry and pigeons in the past, and still maintain an interest in each of these areas, but am not actively involved at this time. I hope to persue a more active involvement in pasture management, grassfed beef and pastured poultry/eggs in the future. Gardening is a hobby for us and we are learning more each year.

My interest in gardening have been in flowers the past few years, in particular, Hostas, Iris, and shrub roses. I will try to branch out soon with a small vegetable garden including some usuable herbs.

I enjoy reading all the threads on the Garden web forums and sharing with others of like interests in other parts of the country/world. It's a great place to meet truely great people.
