I was a Penn State Master Gardener for 10 years until we moved to Ohio. I love giving presentations to groups about gardening in general but especially about growing/using herbs, organic gardening, how to compost, colonial kitchen gardens, etc., and also on such crafts as making herbal paper from junk mail, and the art of flower pounding. I enjoy foraging for edible wild mushrooms. I have foraged edible & medicinal wild green plants for about 40 years, and finally decided I was missing a lot not knowing about fungi. So I joined the SW PA Mushroom Club and since have added many species to my edible list! I started a large indoor worm composting bin over the new year to help dispose of kitchen waste while the compost pile outdoors is frozen. Hubby has built me raised beds (10 of em) for my new garden and I need worms for those, too.
