I have lots of loves in my life, but the one that is truly mine is gardening. Even more so is making compost. It took me a long time to figure out that I just like playing in the dirt and growing things is a good excuse. In terms of compost, I am a turner. I do it as often as I can. My family thinks I am weird, but they love the veggies and flowers I grow, and so do the neighbors. At this point, my yard is completely chemical free.

I have 4 cats and 3 children. I recently left my job of 14 1/2 years to go back to school full time. I like getting out and hiking, ocean trails and Yosemite are my favorites.

In my garden as in my life, there are no queens. You either perform, or you get yanked.
