I have been gardening for 30 years on a consistent basis: mainly vegetable gardening due to the fact we live on a farm and I have fed up to 8 people with those delicious fruits and vegetables! I am tending towards flowers these days as my soul needs beauty to behold each and every day. DH farms full time and I work in town full time, which leaves a little room for gardening...We have a family of three children and our precious new grandson. My favourite flowers include: datura and/or angel trumpet, peonies,iris, lilacs, arctic orchids (that is their common name),dahlias,gladioli, roses,clematis,painted daisies, coneflowers,impatiens of all kinds, petunias, all and every sedum, achillea the pearl, some grasses, delphiniums, columbines,daylilies and finally:lilies, many and assorted--I love them all. I have a strong desire to grow Carmine Jewel cherries this 2006 season as I can't seem to get enough fresh cherries here in Sask. Mostly I enjoy experimenting and figuring out which plants like what despite what the tag in the plastic container says.
