I have perennial borders that have evolved over the last 10 years on my little 1/2 acre. My husband and I are in the process of building a pergola. This summer we tore up an old concrete patio and laid brick in a herringbone design. I am now planning and planting beds around it. I love perennials, especially peonies, iris, pinks, daylilies and foxgloves. My gardens have a cottage look with ribbon borders edged in interlocking brick. My other passion is orchids which I grow in a garden window over my kitchen sink. I love this website. I have learned so much from reading all the questions and answers and I have used the search feature frequently.
