Hi Folks! That's veggieking (vgkg) with a small k (nicknamed by my twin nieces while eating at BurgerKing one day, ha, long story :+). My DW VgQn & I have an humble old farmhouse located on a 1+1/2 acre country lot that will consist many hundreds of sq ft veggie gardens, an assorted fruit tree orchard, grape orchard, maybe even chicks & honey bee hives one day. Also will pretty up things with roses, irises, cannas, lilacs, day lillies, tulips, etc, + many annuals & herbs. All of these goodies will keep us busy and out of trouble (most of the time ;o).

We try to remain as organic as possible regarding fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, & herbicides. My day job was working as an analytical chemist in a feed & fertilizer testing laboratory (now retired). Glad to have found this gardener's "think tank" called Garden Web and happy to share my 45+ years of gardening experiences as well learning some new tricks myself.
I try to scan the garden forums daily, particularly my favorites (fruits, veggies, tomato, organic, soil & compost, & Virginia forums ). I don't mind direct emails but if you post a question on one of these forums it's best for me to reply directly there for repeaters.
