Went to pot up the canna and couldn't locate the bulbs in the basement. On my last stroll through the mucky, muddy yard, I found evidence of dead canna foliage. What a goof, I never dug them up and brought them in. What are the chances of survival outside during a cold year such as this? My bet is slim to none. Oh well. I'll be looking to trade for Giant Red Russian Canna again this year!

I'm looking forward to more spring weather and the emergence of my beloved perennials. My big gardening tasks this year will be to improve the soil in all my flower beds and add more structure to the gardens. I also want to get my kids more involved in gardening.
