Hi! My name is Jackie Carlson and I am a domestic goddess - or stay at home mom, whichever you prefer

My family consists of my husband Scott, my 3 year old son Garrick and my two sweet Rottweilers Gunner and Shaye. Yes, I am busy. We all live here in beautiful Michigan.

I joined GardenWeb because I have always been interested in growing "stuff". I have a new hibiscus tree this year that is fun and I am succesfully growing a white ginger plant inside the house as well! I am slowing looking for more tropicals to add to the mix. Maybe some Gardinias or Jasmine next :)

I am growing Daylillies all over the place outside at our two homes and it is a good thing I like them so much! Boy, those things never die! They are such low matainence plants and I sure needed that up until this year. My son is old enough to give me a couple of minutes to myself now so I have decided to move on to bigger and better things - things that actually won't keep living even if you dig them up and trample on them. Enter my new obsession with Roses.

I just bought 7 bushes this year and planted them in the landscaping. Now I just have to weed through (no pun intended) all the information on what to do and how to grow them to be big and beautiful! I look forward to getting to know you all and learn from you as well.
