I live in hot, humid Texas which can be a blessing and a curse! My DH thinks he likes to garden, but his idea of gardening is watching me work and yelling at the puppy to get out of the veggies.

I have been vegetable gardening on and off for about 18 years. I grew up in NYC where my family's only contact with plants was the plant sale at school once a year when my mom would buy a couple of what I now know are marigolds and they would promptly die in their little 4 inch pots. When I met my hubby, he told me about his mom's garden and I was ready to dive in.

I have only recently begun to get serious about the rest of my yard. What we have done, looks great, but we really have barely scratched the surface.
