We moved to northwest Michigan about 6 years ago and found that under all of the over grown mess across the river is an actual wet land. The people who owned the house before us cut down all the woods and now it is mowed and kept clean. But we took a part of the yard and put it back to its natural way and made a wet land garden for all of the wildlife to enjoy. We have woods on both sides of our yard, with lots of wildlife visiting daily.We are in the process of putting a pond in it right now, we planted a corkscrew tree, and lots of plants that should do well in the wetland. We are very excited to how it turns out.
