I come from a family of immigrant farmers in northeastern Argentina. (German grandpa and Italian grandma).
My mom inherited their farm when they passed away and is trying to convert to organic farming.
My grandma used to plant strawberries that were everbearers small conical ruby red and incredibly flavorful. The produced a lot of fruits for almost 6 months and gave a lot of shoots that were used as new plants the next year.
Since they passed away and their farming abandoned the plants were lost and now it is very hard to find the same plants in argentina.
I would appreciate anyone who could help me find a new plant for my mom to restart the farm.
The region where I live in Argentina is the northeast, subtropical (humid) with very short, benign winters, sandy well drained soils. I assume original varieties grown in the south would be adaptable to this region in Argentina.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers from Argentina!
