Hi there,

I am a transplant to the Midwest, born in Scotland and raised in NW England.

I have found the soil on our farm to be in excellent condition and my wife and I are discovering the joys of eating home grown veggies, and love the fact we can grow tomatos outdoors as opposed to in a greenhouse.

I am an amateur gardener at best but I am thoroughly enjoying learning what grows here and what does not.

The immediate yard consists of approximately 8 acres so as you can imagine it is somewhat of a challenge to landscape it. Of course my wife wants it done and done now.

Anyway thats about it for now, I look forward to reading all the different points of view and different flowers plants and veggies that do so well here on the Eastern Side of Kansas City. Oh by the way thats the MO side :)
