Living northwest of Edmonton, Alberta the climate is indeed my biggest challenge. BUT, just the same there's still ALOT of wonderful plant material in which can be grown here! Usually, do push the limits, sometimes with success but, often with many failures ... lots of fun trying! Most difficult challenge is lack of consistant snow cover combined with the sometime very low winter temperatures. Have a large yard I'm filling with many beautiful trees, shrubs and perennials. LOVE roses, clematis, hostas, hardy water lilies and almost anything variegated! Have a cool solarium in which I grow many things including grapes, camellias, and evergreen ferns etc. Thus, with the solarium my range of interest in plants is extensive.
