After moving into our first house in 2001 and doing a lot of home improvement projects, I was able to finally get started into gardening and landscaping in the summer of 2003.

The yard had virtually no landscaping at all and only a few daffodil and tulip bubls in a rather unkept area. I have since started some perennial gardening in the front yard. Some of my favorite plants so far are, Moonbeam coreopsis, plumbago, russian sage, bellflowers, euonymus, boxwood and fountain grass.

As I have been making changes in some areas I have been filling with the leftover soil in a couple areas where I want to do some raised/terraced flower beds along a concrete retaining wall in the back yard.

This is all still new and I have lots of questions so I am glad I found this site!
