I'm not a very web-chatty person but need to get a little more garden social. I garden on 23 acres (not ALL of them) outside of Grass Valley, CA, in the Sierra foothills. I designated my zone as 7/8. What with global warming, I might even squeeze out a 9 as there are mitigating factors in places. I cannot overwinter lantana, tho' I've tried. I have lots of perennials and am the provider of cuttings and starts for many, many people and that is grand because half the fun of having a garden is having one with history. My white hellebore, arum, lemon balm, a marvelous hosta, and an albizia tree, with whom I have a love/hate relationship are but a few specimens I got from a lovely elderly lady who is now deceased. I always think of her when I look at these plants. Others have come from other friends and family members. My garden is connection. Isn't that as it should be?

I live in: United States

My zone is: z7-8 CA

My favorite forum 1 is Perennials.

My favorite forum 2 is California Gardening.
