I am a landscaper and unusual plant collector in central New Jersey. I like to include different plants in my residential landscapes that the average landscaper would not use, like rhodeas, needle palms, yucca rostrada and well, you get the idea. I love experimenting with borderline and allegedly non-hardy plants for my area. I'm lucky in the fact that even though I'm based in New Jersey, I also do jobs in the Washington DC area, so I have access to their great nuseries, and I live in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. during the winter, so I have tropical nurseries galore to blow all my money on plants to bring back to NJ. I would very much like to meet other gardeners who like to push the gardening envelope.
