An avid gardner who found this website by looking for ornamental grass ideas (new to grasses) to add to our new and somewhat dry streambed. Gardening is my first love, please don't tell my husband, he would be crushed. He tries so hard (not to step on my plants) to learn all the plants names and to pitch in and help(I'd love to do it by myself, but he would be hurt if I didn't let him help). When I retire from working (in about 20 years), I want to open my own nursery or become a landscaping consultant. People tell me I would be good at it (but then what do they know?). I live in the Sacramento/Roseville area, which is nice and hot in the summer. Love growing our summer garden.
