Ive had hummers for a few years now (I think). Year one (2004) I had 2 (I think), but 2005 was a thrilling year for me. I had 5 regulars that I know of, 3 females, that I saw at the same time, and 2 males. I was finally "buzzed". I always wondered how thrilling that must be, and it sure was. Once they left, I had three migrators, each of which had its own personality and plant preferences. 2006 I only noticed 3 regulars (boo hoo).

2006 I also dove into the world of rearing Monarchs. I successfully reared 9, raising them in large plastic containers. I even took one on vacation with me, down the shore, along with milkweed cuttings. What a thrill!!!
