From Canada originally and found myself in England at the height of the swinging 60's.
Got into Bonsai after a brief item on British TV about 1996 and got really interested after a visit to the Japan pavillion at the Epcott Centre at Disney Florida around the same time.
Initially I concentrated on native British trees most of which I collected or bought as hedging stock and brought on.(birch, beech, hornbeam) I have a few good maples that I have bought from an excellent supplier in Dorset who does wholesale deals to enthusiasts.
Much of this early stock has been planted out (not killed) or completely re-vamped and I'm trying to work with the more promising material now.
Of my own trees, I've only got 2 or 3 worth shouting about but I'm getting better all the time.
My wife likes growing flowers , but I'm a tree, grass and landscaping sort of gardener.
In a mad moment I set up a website. Not particularly impressive but you can find out more about me if you are at all interested.
Albums showing many of my trees are regularly updated and can be found at:

Have started to dabble in Japanese style painting and in making granite lanterns recently.
